Rebuilding your server means deleting all of your virtual server's data and reinstalling the operating system from scratch.
Sometimes, after pressing "Rebuild" your VPS just reboots and nothing else happens.
Reason for this is, that OpenVZ cannot unmount your server because of existing network connections.

Solution: to successfully rebuild your VPS please shut it down first and then press the rebuild button.
